Hello! I'm Katherine A. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife with over 30 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!). After working with Midwives, I chose to pursue that degree as well. I received a Masters Degree in Midwifery from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
I am currently teaching the Maternity/OB classes at a local college. The students I teach will receive either a Licensed Practical Nurse degree or a Registered Nurse degree. I have been teaching and tutoring just over 2 years. I hold an hour session weekly for each class. I also tutor individuals, either in person or online.
I am also able to help with nursing math! I use dimensional analysis. I can help with flow rate, DHQ, safe dose range and drip factor math problems.
It has been so rewarding to see students succeed and excel after tutoring with me. I make absolutely sure that students understand the material before we end a session.
I look forward to helping you (and maybe a group of classmates) succeed in Maternity Nursing! My students have performed very well on their OB HESI questions as well as the NCLEX!
