I do a lot of educational writing for NCTE (National Council for Teachers of English) and ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).

Education is EXTREMELY important to me. I am an adult who experienced childhood trauma and it was my AMAZING educators who I know were responsible for making me who I am today. I've received the Teacher of the Year award three times since I've been in education--I strive to make every student I work with feel confident in who they are and realize their potential and the opportunities that await them! Once that is done, I LOVE to use creative, fun, engaging ways to introduce the topics we will work on and teach students explicitly while doing observational data to be sure my students understand what is being taught.

I have spent over a decade tutoring K12 level students who are dyslexic readers and working in either small groups or 1:1 on writing skills and reading comprehension, fluency, and tonal skills.

It is SO important for me to be sure each of my students succeed. I welcome feedback from my students and parents. I truly believe in the importance of teamwork to benefit our future!

Adobe After Effects

Adobe After Effects

I am a business owner who pays for Adobe Creative Apps and I use them for multiple parts of the business from social media to marketing to digital art to video creation/editing, motion graphics, and animation. I create fliers, portfolios, and I have portfolios and have created stock on Adobe Stock and sold them as well as being on Adobe's Behance, LinkedIn and YouTube. With After Effects specifically, I've worked with tools like layering, keyframing, 3D composition and exporting various formats and rendering.
Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator

I have used Illustrator with my business multiple times a week since 2016. I use it for book covers, digital art for kids and YA books, social media, advertising, creating stock images for other companies, and multiple projects. Frequently, I crossover using multiple Adobe Creative apps for a project, so I may begin in Illustrator and move something to Photoshop or AfterEffects to finalize the project--depending on if I'm working on an image or video slide/concept/script.
Adobe InDesign

With Adobe InDesign, I've created posters and brochures when I go to book signings for the books I've published. Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop

Since starting my business in 2016, I have used all the Adobe Creative Apps. I use the apps for artwork, writing, pamphlets, video-making, social media marketing, advertising, graphic design, photography, and logos. I do a lot of crossover work within the apps as well. For example, creating a piece of art, scanning it into Illustrator to digitalize it, and sometimes changing it to a vector. I may have to rasterize the image to get it into Photoshop as a bright object so I can alter it more from there. Out of all the Adobe Creative Apps, After Effects is the most difficult to learn. Even after getting familiar with the other apps in the Suite, there is a steep learning curve. I have been able to master this app and create animation that looks hand-drawn, animate typography, create some 3-D effects (Adobe now has another set of Apps solely for that which I've used in a free trial), and use for YouTube for short scripts and other creative projects.
Adobe Premiere
