Hi! I’m Nick, a French graduate with a B.A. in French and a passion for helping other English speakers make the language feel less intimidating. Because I learned French as a native English speaker myself, I understand firsthand which concepts tend to cause the most confusion. I know how helpful it can be to have someone explain them in a way that actually makes sense! I’m especially comfortable helping with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation practice, homework, test preparation, and building confidence in speaking.
I’m happy to work with middle school through college students as well as adult learners and beginners. For students currently taking a French course, we can work directly with your class materials, assignments, or study guides. For independent learners, I can help create more structured lessons around your individual goals and interests.
Outside of tutoring, I work in corporate merchandise planning and have degrees in both French and Finance. I’ve also spent time traveling in France and love the opportunity to bring real-world language and cultural context into lessons.
My goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and genuinely understand the language rather than simply memorize rules. Whether you’re trying to improve your grade, prepare for an upcoming exam, become more comfortable speaking, or simply learn French for yourself, I’d love to help!
