With a Master of Accounting from NC State University and a dual undergraduate background in Business Administration and Psychology, I bring a unique, well-rounded perspective to accounting education. I am a licensed CPA with over four years of professional experience, including over two years as a Senior Audit Associate at PwC and two years specializing in SEC reporting for public companies. My academic journey is ongoing, as I am currently preparing to matriculate as an Accounting PhD student at an R1 research university in 2026. This blend of professional rigor and academic depth allows me to help students bridge the gap between complex textbook theory and real-world application.

My tutoring experience includes two years of working specifically with college students across a wide range of subjects, including Introduction to Financial Accounting, Intermediate I and II, Cost Accounting, and Managerial Accounting. I have conducted these sessions in both one-on-one and group formats, utilizing both in-person and online environments. In addition to technical tutoring, I spent a year serving as an academic coach. In this role, I helped students master the "business of being a student" by developing customized study plans and time management strategies to improve their overall GPA.

I believe that my background in psychology is a vital asset in my teaching method, as it helps me identify and address the specific anxieties or cognitive blocks a student may have regarding quantitative subjects. Whether I am helping a student navigate the intricacies of the accounting cycle or explaining the nuances of financial reporting, my approach is patient, structured, and highly personalized. I aim to empower students not just to pass their exams, but to develop a fundamental intuition for accounting that will serve them throughout their professional careers.

Having successfully passed the CPA exams and worked as a Senior Auditor at PwC, I understand exactly what it takes to master the material. My professional background in SEC reporting allows me to provide real-world context to difficult financial reporting topics. I completed the Master of Accounting (MAC) program at NCSU in 2021 and have recently been accepted into a prestigious Accounting PhD program beginning in 2026. I am dedicated to helping students and professionals navigate the CPA journey with clarity and confidence.
