I am a recent Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Cincinnati, where I also completed an MBA, earning a 4.0 GPA in both programs. My coursework and personal studies have given me deep expertise in technical subjects, including Chemical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus. I have extensive experience applying these subjects both academically and professionally, and I enjoy helping students understand challenging material in a way that is clear, logical, and engaging.
My teaching experience spans multiple roles and formats. I have served as a Teaching Assistant for several courses, including Thermodynamics, Material and Energy Balances, Fluid Mechanics, Transport Phenomena, and Engineering Statistics. Recently, I was a co-instructor for Thermodynamics. In these roles, I led recitation sessions, held weekly office hours, delivered lectures, provided Excel tutorials for complex problems, created study guides with detailed solutions, and even assisted professors in writing exams. I have experience tutoring both individually and in small groups, working primarily with college students, but also with motivated adult learners. I have been selected to serve as a Nuclear Power School Instructor in the U.S. Navy, further demonstrating my ability to teach complex technical subjects effectively.
My approach to tutoring focuses on building understanding from the ground up. I guide students through problem-solving systematically, helping them classify problems, identify known and unknown quantities, draw visual representations, apply governing equations, and verify that solutions make sense. I also emphasize strategies for studying effectively, building confidence, and connecting abstract concepts to real-world examples. Whether a student is looking to improve grades, prepare for exams, or gain a deeper understanding of technical subjects, my goal is to provide personalized, interactive support that encourages learning and mastery.
