Hello! My name is Katarina and I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Cleveland State University. Currently I am working on my medical school applications with aspirations to work in dermatology. While completing my undergraduate education, I was an SI (supplemental instruction) leader for classes such as general biology, general chemistry, and genetics. I worked in group situations as well as one on one with college/adult students to help better their understanding of these courses and improve their grades.
In order to become a tutor for the classes mentioned above, I had to take them myself and earn grade of a certain level to be considered as an SI leader. Having taking these classes myself, I understand what concepts and ideas students have a hard time grasping. Tutoring sessions were held 3-4 times a week with both group as well as individual sessions. I have 2 years of tutoring experience in biology and chemistry and 1 year with genetics, physics, and psychology.
