Bio

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, which has given me a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving. I am interested in tutoring students from elementary school through high school and helping them develop a stronger understanding of mathematics. My background allows me to work with students on foundational math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and other mathematics appropriate to their grade level.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, which has given me a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving. I am interested in tutoring students from elementary school through high school and helping them develop a stronger understanding of mathematics. My background allows me to work with students on foundational math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and other mathematics appropriate to their grade level.

I have experience providing one-on-one math help to my younger brother throughout his school years, including helping him with mathematics through his sophomore year of high school. This experience taught me the importance of being patient and adjusting explanations when a concept is difficult to understand. I would work through problems with him step by step, answer questions, and explain concepts in different ways when needed. This helped me develop an approach focused on understanding rather than simply memorizing formulas or getting the correct answer.

My goal as a tutor is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students can ask questions and make mistakes without feeling embarrassed. I want to help students strengthen their mathematical skills, understand the material they are learning, and become more confident solving problems independently. I am patient with different learning styles and will adjust my explanations and pace to meet each student's individual needs.

I hold a B.S. in Mathematics and have a strong foundation in algebra and the mathematical concepts that support success in higher-level courses. I focus on breaking Algebra 1 topics into clear, manageable steps and explaining not only how to solve a problem, but why the method works. I can help students with topics such as equations, inequalities, functions, graphing, polynomials, systems of equations, and other core Algebra 1 skills. My goal is to create a patient, supportive learning environment where students can build their understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Algebra 2

I hold a B.S. in Mathematics and have a strong foundation in the advanced algebraic concepts covered in Algebra 2. I focus on breaking challenging topics into manageable steps and helping students understand the reasoning behind each solution rather than simply memorizing procedures. I can help students with functions, polynomial and rational expressions, equations and inequalities, systems, exponential and logarithmic functions, and other core Algebra 2 concepts. My goal is to provide a patient, supportive learning environment where students can strengthen their problem-solving skills and gain confidence in mathematics.
