Hello! I graduated from the University of Toledo in 2017 with a degree in applied mathematics. After graduating, I set off to China where I would teach math in international schools. I have experience teaching precalculus, calculus, IGCSE foundation/higher mathematics, international A level pure 1, international A level pure 2, and international A level statistics 1. While I have been teaching under the British curriculum for the past 4 year, I have found that many of the core math skills taught in the UK are transferrable to math taught in the US. During my time abroad, I also expanded my teaching knowledge and acquired a Master's in Education in Teaching Mathematics.
My experience is not just limited to teaching classrooms, during my time in college I also working at a tutoring center where I would tutor up to 3 students in a 1-hour session. At my previous school, I have also held in-school and after-school one-on-one exam preparation sessions. So while most of my experience is face-to-face in classrooms, I also understand the nuances that go into tutoring individuals.
