Bible Studies

I have earned my PhD in Theology (2013) which involved study of the Old and New Testament. Furthermore, I was on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ, which provided years of training in both studying the Bible, and leading Bible study. I have basic ability to read the original languages of Hebrew and Greek, as well as Church Fathers' commentaries in Latin.

Political Science

I have earned a B.A. degree from Miami University (1988) in Political Science. Over the years I have worked on numerous political campaigns and helped with speech writing. I have contributed a book chapter analyzing President Obama's political rhetoric for the work, "What Democrats Talk About When They Talk About God" ed. David Weiss.

Public Speaking

My first M.A. degree (1995) is in Speech Communication & Rhetoric. As part of my graduate duties I taught Public Speaking, and coached the university NDT debate team. Since that time I have taught Public Speaking courses for about 15 years at various schools and the Junior State of America program.

Religion

I have taken two years of seminary training in biblical studies. In addition I have earned an M.A. in Theology from University of Dayton, and a PhD in Theology from UD as well. I have also taught religion at the college level for ten years at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS.
