Hi, I'm Sreshta! I'm a recent graduate of Mason High School and currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University through the John Martinson Honors College, where I maintain a 3.84 GPA.
I specialize in SAT and ACT preparation and earned a perfect 1600 on the SAT and a 36 composite on the ACT, including a 36 in every section. I also tutor chemistry, physics, and mathematics through Calculus II.
Since January 2025, I have volunteered as an SAT/ACT tutor with Kara Tutoring, working with high school students in both one-on-one and small-group settings. Prior to that, I peer tutored students in AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics. These experiences have helped me develop strategies for explaining difficult concepts clearly and adapting to different learning styles.
My teaching philosophy focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation before moving on to advanced problem-solving. I believe students learn best when they understand concepts deeply and can create conceptual connections between topics. I always try to break challenging topics into manageable steps and emphasize pattern recognition and critical thinking during exam preparation.
For standardized tests, I begin by identifying a student's strengths and areas for improvement through practice tests and targeted exercises. After that, we can work together to create a study plan that strengthens weak areas while building the timing and test-taking skills needed for success on exam day.
I am committed to providing personalized support and am always ready to provide additional practice problems, study resources, and test preparation materials outside of lessons. I welcome communication with both students and parents and strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
