Hello! My name is Amir and I am a rising junior at the University of Chicago studying Mathematics. I previously attended Case Western Reserve University for one year, studying physics, before transferring to my current university. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, and I intend to pursue a Master's degree in Financial Mathematics after graduating. I graduated from William Mason High School in 2023.

I have been involved in numerous tutoring and teaching roles since 2020 with extensive experience in tutoring online. From 2020-2022, I taught virtual STEM classes to groups of around 10 students. I taught three 11-week courses on Astronomy and Oceanography online. This involved developing lesson plans, creating lesson materials, and making homework problems/review games to keep classes engaging. All the students in these classes were middle school and high school students. From 2020-2023, I also led the Astronomy event for my high school's Science Olympiad team, which involved introducing freshmen to the event with in-person meetings and practices. Finally, I have been privately tutoring students from my school district since 2023 in subjects including physics, astronomy, and mathematics.

My qualifications include: 5 years of tutoring experience, 36 ACT score, 4.0 unweighted HS GPA, former National Astronomy Champion (Science Olympiad), 5 on AP Calculus BC, Physics C: Mechanics, and Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, Top 50 Nationally in the United States Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad in 2021 and 2022
