Bio

Over the past 20 years as a high-achieving student, I ran through the gauntlet of various study strategies, self-help books, flashcards, and note-taking styles. I pushed myself to the limit (and even beyond) by pursuing multiple courses of study while simultaneously leading/designing various research projects/papers and protocols. Through my hard work, I achieved a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in biomedical sciences, followed by a master's degree in physiology and pharmacology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine So I am confident I can help you understand the topics and develop skills that work for you in the STEM field.

I aim to develop your skills and help you achieve a level of understanding that allows you to teach your peers. Because I have tried so many different strategies myself, I offer a very personalized tutoring style to help you understand the material and think differently (as well as explain the core concepts and principles you will need to succeed). Basically, I have made the mistakes so you don’t have to.

My experience with tutoring has been largely unofficial. Rather, I have had countless classmates, friends, and colleagues reach out to me in the middle of the night to describe topics and help them work through test preparation/homework on a one-to-one basis. I was a leader in my master’s program and dedicated my time to anyone who asked. Often, they would say to me, “You should be a teacher, Logan”. So, taking my newfound knowledge in physiology and pharmacology and over 8 years of research experience, (plus a publication) I decided to do just that. Sort of. I chose to be a tutor.

Anatomy

My background is more framed towards the nerves and gradient of symptoms following injury. While I have not personally taken the NPTE exam, I am happy to review the topics and break down the purpose of the exam to aid you in receiving a passing score. While reviewing some of the study habits I used to learn the human anatomy quickly during my accelerated program.
Psychology

Psychology

I owe most of my proficiency in this field to the breakthrough teacher in AP psychology. He taught us the rigor of learning over 500 terms utilizing the memory techniques we were learning about such as grouping, creating schemas, and studying a little every day. The result; I scored in the top 1% of the nation on the AP exam. I later graduated from Xavier University with my bachelor's in psychology and biomedical sciences. only to continue on my journey towards medical school. I will aim to change the way your daughter approaches this subject to reflect my success and offer bridges of knowledge and ways of thinking to make these concepts stick.
