I have taught students ranging from elementary through high school, including struggling readers, students with IEPs, and advanced learners. My academic background and teaching experience allow me to support students in reading comprehension, grammar, writing structure, literary analysis, and overall academic confidence.
My approach to tutoring is structured, patient, and encouraging. I break skills down into clear, manageable steps and adjust my instruction to meet each student’s learning style and needs. Because of my background in child development and psychology, I focus not only on academic skills but also on motivation, confidence, and reducing anxiety around schoolwork. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and capable of success.
I have extensive experience helping students improve paragraph and essay writing, organization, and critical thinking skills. Whether a student needs help catching up, strengthening foundational reading and writing skills, or preparing for assessments, I tailor each session to their individual goals. My goal as a tutor is to help students feel more confident in English class while building skills they can carry into future coursework.
