Hello, I am an Assistant Professor at a small liberal arts college. I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught classes as small as 3 students to as large as 200 students. I have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics; a Master's of Art in Mathematics; and a Master's of Science in Statistics. My teaching experience includes a wide range of mathematics and statistics, including teaching math courses to future elementary and middle school teachers. I have now taught over 15 different courses (4 of which I developed) ranging from remedial algebra to a 300-level probability course.
Although I love teaching, my favorite part of my job is when I get to work one-on-one with a student. I love seeing a student achieve an "ah hah" moment. This past year, I was asked to teach halftime and to take over being the Subject Tutoring Coordinator on our campus. Not only do I hire tutors, I also serve as a tutor myself. I have loved the time that I have spent as a tutor which is why I am interested in expanding my tutoring services. I also now have experience tutoring a student for the math portions of the military's AFOQT (Air Force Officers Qualifying Test).
