Welcome to my WyzAnt tutor profile, thank you for your interest. This is my opportunity to give you a brief overview of my academic qualifications and my experience as a teacher and tutor.
I graduated from Youngstown State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a minor in geography. I received my social studies secondary education certification in 1989. I worked as a teacher and tutor in southern Ohio for ten years. I received my Master of Arts degree in history from Wright State University in 1994. I currently am teaching high school social studies in Ohio. I teach advanced placement United States history, advanced placement European history as well as general American history and American government. I received my Master's of Education degree from Lake Erie College in 2012.
I have been teaching and tutoring for over 20 years. I have worked in one-on-one tutoring, as well as with small groups ranging from 3-5 students to groups of 30+ students. I have worked with students from sixth grade through college age. My favorite subjects to tutor are American and world history. I also enjoy working with students in American government. I have worked in other subjects such as geography, psychology and sociology.
