Civil Engineering

I am a second-year biomedical engineering student at The Ohio State University with a strong academic foundation in math, science, and problem-solving. My coursework includes subjects such as general chemistry, physics, calculus, and introductory biology, which has given me both a broad and detailed understanding of core STEM concepts. Through my academic experience, I have learned not just how to solve problems, but how to break them down and explain the reasoning behind each step, which is essential for effective tutoring. In addition to my academic background, I have experience working with students in both structured and informal settings. I have mentored high school students, helping them understand challenging concepts by adapting my explanations to fit their learning styles. Rather than focusing on memorization, I emphasize building a strong conceptual foundation so students can approach problems with confidence. I typically work one-on-one or in small groups, creating a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and actively engage in the learning process. My teaching approach is patient, interactive, and focused on clarity. I try to meet students where they are, whether they need help catching up or want to deepen their understanding. I have found that using real-world examples and step-by-step reasoning helps students stay engaged and retain information more effectively. Overall, I aim to not only help students improve academically, but also build their confidence and independence in learning.
