I bring over seven years of professional experience in both maths and programming. I’ve worked as a software engineer in industries like finance, defence, and tech; I’ve solved real-world problems using the same skills students often struggle with. I also hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mathematics, so I understand how to teach at every level. Over the years, I’ve helped students from middle school through college overcome confusion, boost their grades, and, most importantly, build genuine confidence. Whether you're dealing with algebra, calculus, statistics, or looking to get better at programming in Python, Java, or JavaScript, I’m here to walk you through it, step by step, at your pace.

What makes me different from most tutors is that I don’t just know the material—I’ve lived it. I’ve used maths to model systems in real companies. I’ve written code that serves thousands of users. So when I teach you, I’m not just repeating facts from a book—I’m showing you how these ideas really work, and why they matter. I explain things in plain, simple language, and I always make sure you understand the “why,” not just the “how.” If something doesn’t make sense right away, I find another way to explain it. If you're more visual, more hands-on, or just need time to process, I work around you—not the other way around. My job is to make tough subjects feel manageable, and even interesting, no matter where you're starting from.

Whether you're trying to catch up or prep for an exam, I’m here to support you. I genuinely care about helping students grow, not just in their grades, but in how they think. I create a space where it’s okay to ask questions and learn at your own pace. You don’t need to be a genius, you just need the right teacher and the willingness to try. If you're ready to make sense of what you’re learning, and maybe even enjoy it along the way, I’d love to help.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Mark is very patient and knows how to explain Algebra so the person understands. My son has gone from avoiding his homework to turning it in on time, with excellent marks and receiving B work on quizzes. He was failing prior to these sessions and now has a B-.
