My name is Bre S. and I am passionate about engaging minds in a way that increases self confidence and awakens hidden talents. I graduated from Westmont College in 2010 with a BA in Communication Studies and a Studio Art Minor that I completed in Florence, Italy.
When I graduated, I moved to Barcelona, Spain where I received my certification through TEFL to teach English as a foreign language. After completing my certification, I spent 6 months teaching English to a group of 10 year old boys,
as well as 2 one on one lessons to a sophomore in high school and a middle aged adult.
A year later, I moved to Uganda, Africa where I employed a group of women through jewelry making. I lived in Uganda for 4 years. When I returned, I discovered an Acting conservatory in Redding, California that became a turning point in my artistic journey, opening my eyes to gifts I had not yet fully recognized in myself. I completed an extensive 2 year acting program from Bethel Conservatory of the Arts, where I was classically trained though a process that challenged my limits and fostered a deep sense of self-awareness.
My teaching approach is student-centered and highly adaptive. I design each lesson around the individual learner’s needs, goals, and learning style rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method. I take time to understand how each student thinks, what motivates them, and where they feel confident or uncertain, and I tailor my instruction accordingly.
I bring a warm, positive, and encouraging presence into my teaching, creating an environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn.
My gentle, patient, and approachable nature makes it easy for students to open up, ask questions, and take risks without fear of judgment. This combination of structure, flexibility, and emotional safety allows students to grow not only in skill, but also in confidence.
