I’ve always loved talking about art and helping others learn to see it in new ways. What excites me most about tutoring is creating those “aha” moments where something that once felt confusing suddenly clicks. I want students to feel that art history and theory aren’t distant or intimidating, but full of stories, ideas, and connections that matter to everyday life.
My own background started with photography, where I earned an associate’s degree before going on to complete both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Art History, specializing in Modern and Contemporary art. Along the way, I’ve tutored college students and adults, and even taught a six-week course on photography that focused on building confidence with manual camera settings. Writing has also been a major part of my studies. From developing a thesis to completing creative writing courses, I’ve built strong skills in both academic and creative forms of expression. I enjoy working with students to improve their essays, research papers, and personal projects, guiding them toward clearer, more confident writing.
When I work with students, I keep things patient, conversational, and approachable. My goal isn’t just to teach material, but to make the process enjoyable and meaningful. Whether we’re unpacking a complex theory, analyzing a photograph, or strengthening a piece of writing, I want students to walk away with both knowledge and confidence.
