I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Pre-Medicine and an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology, and I am currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Kent State University. With over 10 years of tutoring experience in math, chemistry, physics, literacy, and biology, I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to college.

My experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, leading labs and delivering lectures while providing individualized support for large classes, and working as a Literacy Tutor Leader with AmeriCorps, where I trained new tutors and provided 1,700+ hours of one-on-one instruction. I focus on adapting lessons to each student’s needs, analyzing progress to guide instruction, and helping learners build confidence and independence.

I work effectively in one-on-one sessions, small groups, and classroom settings, using patient, clear, and evidence-based methods. My goal is to help students not only master content, but also develop the skills and confidence to succeed on their own.

Anthropology

Anthropology

I hold an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Kent State University, with a focus on medical anthropology, education, cybernetics, and semiotics. I have conducted ethnographic fieldwork, analyzed complex social systems, and presented research at national conferences. My training includes qualitative and quantitative research methods, Indigenous Resource Management, and the anthropology of education, giving me a strong foundation in studying human behavior, culture, and learning. I apply this expertise to teaching, research, and program development, bridging academic insight with practical, real-world applications.
Biology

Biology

I am well qualified to tutor college-level biology based on my academic training, teaching experience, and extensive tutoring background. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Pre-Medicine and an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology, with coursework and applied study in biology, genetics, human evolution, and medical anthropology. I taught biology-related content—including genetics, anatomy, and evolutionary biology—as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Human Evolution Lab and through study-abroad instruction, supporting students in both lecture and lab contexts. Additionally, I bring over 10 years of tutoring experience, allowing me to break down complex biological concepts into clear, manageable explanations tailored to individual learning styles.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I am well qualified to tutor college-level chemistry based on my academic background and long-standing tutoring experience. I earned a B.A. in Psychology and Pre-Medicine with a minor in Chemistry, completing extensive coursework in general and organic chemistry. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring chemistry, helping students understand core concepts, problem-solving strategies, and lab-related material in both one-on-one and small-group settings. My approach emphasizes conceptual clarity, step-by-step reasoning, and building student confidence with challenging material.
Genetics

Genetics

I have substantial experience teaching genetics in both classroom and lab settings, including leading Human Evolution Labs at Kent State University and instructing genetics courses during my study abroad program in Florence, Italy. My expertise spans fundamental principles of inheritance, population genetics, and evolutionary applications. I integrate hands-on learning, data analysis, and real-world examples to make complex genetic concepts accessible to diverse learners. This background enables me to support students in building both conceptual understanding and practical skills in genetics.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I have a strong foundation in neuroscience through undergraduate coursework in psychology and pre-medicine, advanced study within cultural anthropology, and my current graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling. My experience covers neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and cognitive and behavioral processes, integrating biological, psychological, and social perspectives. I have applied this knowledge in both classroom instruction and individualized student support, helping learners understand complex neural systems and their relevance to behavior and learning. This interdisciplinary training allows me to teach neuroscience concepts clearly and connect them to real-world applications.
Physics

Physics

I am well qualified to tutor college-level physics based on my academic preparation and extensive tutoring experience. As part of my pre-medicine coursework, I completed college-level physics and developed a strong foundation in mechanics, energy, and applied problem solving. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring physics, working with students in one-on-one and small-group settings to build conceptual understanding and quantitative reasoning skills. I focus on breaking down complex problems into clear steps and helping students develop confidence in applying formulas and physical principles.
Statistics

Statistics

I am well qualified to tutor college-level statistics based on my academic training, teaching experience, and long-term tutoring background. I have completed multiple statistics courses across psychology, anthropology, and education, with applied experience in quantitative research design and data analysis. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant and researcher, I worked with statistical concepts to analyze data, interpret results, and support student learning. I also have over 10 years of tutoring experience, allowing me to explain statistical concepts clearly and help students build confidence with data, formulas, and interpretation.
