Nice to meet you, my name is Tori! I am a 22-year-old college student majoring in Psychology and American Sign Language, with a minor in Human Resource Management. I am CITI-certified in conducting Social and Behavioral research, a member of a research lab, and I have a great passion for all forms of education and learning.
As I continue my journey through college, I have found myself growing more and more interested in sharing my love of learning with others. Knowledge is a gift, and I would love to be able to help tutees learn more and experience the satisfaction of great achievements. As a result, this has sparked me to begin offering tutoring services so I can help students of all ages unlock their full potential.
In my tutoring approach, I believe that the number one focus should be on the student and their specific learning needs. By tailoring my tutoring approach to each individual student, I am able to ensure that students can experience both intrapersonal and academic growth in a positive and supportive environment. Beyond my focus on each student's individual needs, I also aim to create an environment that is comfortable for the student, interactive, respectful, and enjoyable. I will do my absolute best to encourage critical and creative thinking, and set a clear precedent that students should aim to be inquisitive, curious, and practical when learning new material. In my tutoring approach, I also promote self-sufficient learning and collaborative efforts; that way, students can feel confident in asking questions, learning new material, and practicing on their own.
I hope we can work together and foster your learning potential!
