I'm Madison! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Primary Education, earned with cum laude honors, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I am licensed to teach Pre K through fifth grade and have completed additional professional development focused on classroom success and literacy, including coursework on supporting students with dyslexia. My academic preparation emphasized evidence-based instructional practices, early literacy development, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
I have multiple years of experience teaching and tutoring students in early elementary grades, with a strong focus on second grade. I taught second grade during the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 school years, providing instruction in core subject areas while fostering a supportive, engaging classroom environment. My teaching & tutoring approach is data-informed and student-centered; I regularly analyze assessments and observations to guide instruction, provide targeted interventions, and offer appropriate enrichment.
In addition to full-time classroom teaching, I have experience as a substitute teacher and tutor. These roles allowed me to work with students ranging from Pre K through fifth grade in both classroom and one-on-one settings. My tutoring experience includes supporting elementary students in math, literacy, phonics, and writing, as well as designing individualized learning activities.
