My name is Amie, and I just moved to Ohio from California. In California, I tutored with a different business, and created life long bonds with those students. I was also studying early childhood education in pursuit of becoming an elementary school teacher. In the fall, I will continue my own education at the University of Findlay, while working to improve your learning experience.
Allow me to assist in improving your student's learning ability, and outlook on education. In my tutoring experience, I helped elementary level students with reading, writing, and basic math. I also have experience with children that have learning disabilities. My passion is teaching children to love their education. I can and will help your child grow to love learning as much as I do.
I have taken 3 public speaking courses, in high school and at the college level, earning A's each time. Public speaking comes with ease to me, now.
Early Childhood Education is my major, and I have been working towards becoming an elementary school teacher for many years now. I have been working with children for 4 years, and I have tutored numerous in their daily lessons. I believe this is the crucial age to teach students to love learning, and I can make that a reality.
As I grow closer to becoming a teacher, I would love to share my knowledge and gain experience with you and your children. I have great goals to share my ambition with my students. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
