I currently teach 7th grade ELA, including Advanced and remedial classes, which means I work every day with a wide range of learners—from students who need extra support to those who are ready to be challenged at a higher level. I’ve also taught 6th–8th grade ELA, Math, and Science in inner-city, rural, and suburban school districts, giving me the ability to connect with all types of students and adapt my teaching to meet their individual needs.
I hold a Master’s degree in STEM and am licensed in Middle Childhood Education (grades 4–9), ELA, Reading, and Science, allowing me to support students across multiple subject areas—not just one.
I’ve earned an Accomplished teacher rating, the highest possible rating in my state, which reflects my commitment to high-quality instruction and strong student growth.
Outside of the classroom, I’m also a parent of five, so I understand both the academic and emotional needs of students. I’ve also spent four years coaching, which has helped me build strong relationships, motivate students, and create a positive, encouraging environment where kids feel comfortable and supported.
