Years ago, I tutored students who had difficulty with attendance at the high school level. I enjoyed it. I taught lots of different subjects with a lot of different students. I enjoyed it because it allowed for each student to get one-on-one lessons. If they needed help, they didn't feel as if asking a question was going to be embarrassing because they didn't have peers around. No question is a dumb question.
I have spent many years teaching Microsoft Excel. I have taught it to high school students as well as adults. I taught one person how to do certain steps for the work she was doing on the job for a hotel. I have had students compete in Excel at the State level for Business Professionals of America. Some of them placed in the top 20 in the state. One of the students that went to state in this program was autistic and did a wonderful job. One former student was able to use what he learned from me in Excel to help a college classmate be successful with an assignment.
I have taught HTML and CSS at the high school level. It was a college course that they were being taught as if they completed all of the assignments they would receive college credit for the course. I have taught Access at the high school level and have had several students be able to test out of an introduction course at the college level. I have taught PowerPoint at the high school level and elementary level. I have used PowerPoint since the early to mid 90's. Microsoft Word and other word processing software I have been using since the late 80's.
