I am a recent graduate from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art and a minor in Creative Writing. I love art and poetry and sharing my love for these subjects with others. I have always found joy in helping others get excited about Art and their own work. My method of tutoring and aid helps students formulate questions and answers that helps the student connect with their work in a way that they understand. I use my knowledge to guide investigation into the subjects so learning is based on the need of the individual and individual project.
Writing has always been a part of my life, personally and in my education. I have won two local poetry competitions, been published in three literary journals, and attended an Art Writing summer residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. I completed a minor in Creative Writing for my undergraduate degree. My writing skills are very practical, and they have earned me a research grant as well as a full tuition scholarship to my undergraduate university.
Art is my passion in life. Art, for me, encompasses Fine Arts, crafts, writing, and performance. My undergraduate degree is in Studio Art, where I was able to complete classes in the following subjects: jewelry and metals, sculpture, drawing, video art, performance art, printmaking, ceramics, glassblowing, and art history. My 2-year Associate of Arts degree came from a focus in drawing and painting. My main work comes from a focus in drawing, video and installation. I have knowledge and first-hand experience with many forms of art and take pleasure in conceptual art.
