Neuroscience PhD excited to spread the knowledge!

Hey there! I am a Neuroscience PhD who graduated from the University of Miami College of Medicine. I tutored for many years in college and grad school, and am looking to get back out there and help students with their work! I actually really loved being a student and I want to show other students how exciting learning can be!

During my undergraduate and graduate career, I have taken advanced level courses in Anatomy/Physiology, Genetics, Microbiology, Neuroscience, and Biological Statistics. To date, I have accrued 10+ years of practical laboratory experience, which has allowed me to explain many concepts taught in the classroom in a more logistical way to the students I tutor. This has really helped my previous students grasp complex biological concepts. Having tutored science subjects in the past, I have learned to tailor each tutoring session to the individual students strengths and weaknesses, which has greatly improved not only their test scores, but also their interest in the science field.

Having been in the science field for most of my education, I am very aware of the pressures students face to perform in these classes , and how discouraging it can be when you find yourself falling behind. This is why I am extremely passionate about aiding students in their journey to navigate their studies and potentially help spark in them the passion that I feel for this subject every day.
