Bio

I am originally from Indiana where I studied Japanese rigorously before working and studying in Japan for a total of seven years.

After returning from Japan in 2009, I have worked for three Japanese companies and continue to use (read, write, listen to, and speak) Japanese on a daily basis. I want to share my knowledge with anyone that needs help with school work or business, and I can do more condensed pre-Japan-travel tutoring.

I have worked specifically with primary/secondary-school students located from Japan to Ohio. I was employed both privately and by the students' schools for the purpose of helping with homework, test/quiz preparation, and reading comprehension. Additionally, I taught English in Japan part-time for four years.

I passed Level 1 of the Japanese-language Proficiency Test in 2006, my fourth year living in Japan. I studied at Kyoto University Graduate School for the following three years and have used my skills at Japanese companies every year since. While working and studying in Japan, I privately tutored other expatriates in Japanese as a second language.
