I'm a nurse educator with more than 20 years of experience helping nursing students and new nurses build confidence, master difficult concepts, and succeed on exams. My goal isn't just to help you pass your next test—it's to help you truly understand the material so you can become a safe, confident nurse.

I hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from The Ohio State University, along with both BSN and ADN degrees. Since 2021, I've provided one-on-one tutoring for nursing students in Fundamentals, OB, Pediatrics, HESI, and NCLEX preparation. My sessions are interactive, student-led, and designed around the way you learn, using visual explanations, active recall, guided practice, and test-taking strategies that improve both understanding and retention.

Whether you're trying to pass a difficult class, improve your HESI score, or conquer the NCLEX, I'm here to help you reach your goals.

In addition to nursing, I also tutor a variety of other subjects—including elementary math, reading, writing, grammar, GED preparation, interview preparation, and career development. Please see my subject list for current tutoring offerings.

I have extensive real-world experience with career development, including creating successful resumes, preparing for interviews, and navigating the job application process. Throughout my career, I have not only participated in numerous interviews as a candidate but have also served as an interviewer, giving me valuable insight into what employers look for in applicants. I have completed training in resume writing, interview techniques, and professional follow-up strategies, and I enjoy helping others present their skills and experience with confidence. My goal is to help students and job seekers develop practical skills that increase their chances of career success.

Elementary Math

I am experienced in tutoring math at many levels of learning. I personally am very strong in math, as it was my favorite subject in school. I also have a degree in accounting, demonstrating my love/skill for the subject.

GED

I take the time to assess the learner's strong areas as well as the areas of needed improvement. This allows us to create a personalized plan for you and your studies to get you as ready as possible for your big test. GED learning is not a one-size-fits-all technique!

I have been teaching college-aged nursing students to prepare for, take, and create study plans from the HESI since 2021. I teach students online, in person, individually, and in groups. My students are generally very high scoring in their exams.

I have extensive experience with the interview process from both sides of the table. Throughout my career, I have successfully interviewed for professional positions and have also served as an interviewer, evaluating candidates and making hiring recommendations. In addition, I have completed training in interview preparation, professional communication, and career development. I help students and job seekers build confidence, prepare effective responses to common interview questions, and develop the skills needed to make a strong impression with employers.
NCLEX

NCLEX

I have several years of experience in helping students prepare for the NCLEX at a University level. Most recently, I was the NCLEX Coach for the entire campus in my role. My students performed on the NCLEX much better than their practice exams prior to my study sessions and boot camps. My boot camps are offered weekly, on Saturdays, and are affordable, interactive, and fun.

I've been in the nursing field 20 years, an RN since 2010, and an NP since 2021. I also have been a Nursing Professor for several years, teaching/tutoring all subjects but specializing in Fundamentals, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and NCLEX/HESI preparation.
