Hi! I’m a neuroscience major at The Ohio State University with a strong academic background in biology, psychology, and writing. I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience, including working at a well known tutoring company as a tutor, where I supported students across a wide range of ages and skill levels. At the tutoring company, I worked closely with elementary and middle school students in math and reading, helping them build foundational skills, confidence, and independent learning habits through structured, step-by-step instruction.

In addition, I have experience teaching and mentoring students through academic programs and one-on-one support, including helping peers with science coursework, writing assignments, and study strategies. My background in competitive speech and debate also strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, tailor explanations to different learning styles, and help students improve their critical thinking and communication skills.

My tutoring style is patient, organized, and personalized. I focus on understanding where a student is struggling, breaking concepts down into manageable steps, and reinforcing learning through practice rather than memorization. I aim to help students not only improve their grades, but also develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed independently in school.
