I've always been fascinated by the complexities of aviation, the history, and the principles that govern flight, and I find immense satisfaction in sharing that passion with others. It is remarkable how subjects like weather or aircraft systems, which may initially seem daunting, can become sources of inspiration with proper guidance. Throughout my career, I've instructed a diverse array of individuals from young children beginning their exploration of STEM concepts, teenagers eager to kickstart their pilot dreams, to adults in their 40s looking to expand their aviation knowledge or pursue a new career, and even groups at outreach events soaking up the basics of flying.
My teaching experience is predominantly centered on aviation and practical education. From 2017 to 2021, I served as a Teacher at the Goddard School where I developed and implemented STEM-focused lesson plans for children, utilizing hands-on activities to illustrate foundational scientific principles. Since 2023, in my roles at US Aviation Academy, I have advised prospective students through pilot programs, breaking down tricky concepts like navigation or safety regs into bite-sized pieces. I've also run preflight demos for the "Girls in Aviation Day" event using real airplanes to get them pumped about flying. Aviation has always been an aspiration of mine ever since I was young from attending aviation events to restoring a plane since I was 13. I've always been known to hang out around the airport and to help as many as possible.
As a CFI and CFII, I will be able to break down complex topics into simple blocks that will help build your aviation knowledge. My style's all about keeping it real and practical, skipping the rote memory junk. Aviation has this cool logic to it, and I focus on nailing the basics so it clicks, whether you're a kid or a grown-up chasing a dream, I am here to help you achieve your goal.
