I aim to make learning engaging, accessible, and aligned with each student’s strengths and needs. Whether a student needs help catching up, wants to stay on track, or is ready to be challenged, I’m here to support that journey.

As a Certified Autism Specialist, I bring a deep understanding of neurodiverse learners and offer strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of students with autism and other learning differences. I believe every student is capable of growth when supported with the right tools, patience, and encouragement.

I hold a Master’s in Special Education with an Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate from Miami University. I hold an Intervention Specialist license and am currently working as an Intervention Specialist, teaching and co-teaching students in language arts, reading, math, and social studies. I have almost two decades of teaching experience, and 11 years of experience as an intervention specialist, working with a range of students with moderate to severe disabilities. I have worked with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder for my entire career. I am currently working as an Intervention Specialist, teaching and co-teaching students in language arts, reading, math, and social studies.

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University, a Master's degree in Special Education with an Autism Certificate from Miami University, and a BA in English from Western Michigan University. I have several years of experience teaching language arts, math, reading, and social studies at the elementary and middle school level, and have over a decade of experience as an intervention specialist at the elementary, middle, and high school level.

Very patient and encouraging

John has done a wonderful job with my son. He has made learning Math fun for my ADHD son. He has turned fractions into a game and my son says he gets what he is learning. John is amazing at finding the way to talk to him and really has made a great connection. I would encourage anyone to seek out help from John if they have a child that is struggling understanding concepts!
