I started as a middle child with five siblings; now that was an education! Then I earned a BS from Penn State University and an MS from The University of Idaho, both with emphasis in Elementary Education. I have taught and been a school librarian/resource specialist in Pennsylvania, Idaho, Ohio, and China. Along the way, I have tutored both groups and individuals in school and in their homes.

I started as a middle child with five siblings; now that was an education! Then I earned a BS from Penn State University and an MS from The University of Idaho, both with emphasis in Elementary Education. I have taught and been a school librarian/resource specialist in Pennsylvania, Idaho, Ohio, and China. Along the way, I have tutored both groups and individuals in school and in their homes.
In addition, I have been a National Park Ranger in Texas and Hawaii, specializing in youth and nature instruction. Now I live with my wife, also a teacher, on an eighty-acre homestead with our ten rescued dogs and assorted other animals. We try to play a small part in making the world a better place.
My strongest life ability has always been taking a student from where that student is to where that student wants to go. We all have great potential. My goal is to take that potential and help the student see how to fulfill it. Working together ... that's the key ... working together for a better future.
