Hello, I'm Sarah! I graduated with a 4.0 in undergrad with a major in microbiology and a minor in chemistry and now am a 4th year medical student.

I have 1 year of experience as a learning assistant in introductory biology where I helped the professor further develop the course, assisted students throughout class, and offered private and group study sessions prior to the exams.

We always started the class in a fun and engaging way to preface the material and then would do a deep dive into the information with questions throughout. This seemed effective for most students and is how I structured the study sessions as well, but for one-on-one sessions, I adapted to whatever the student needed and however he/she/they learned best. I plan to use these same approaches in the future and welcome any resources or suggestions from students and parents as everyone learns differently!

Having taken the ACT, I received a 32 as my overall score and received a 31 on the math portion, 33 on the reading portion, and 35 on the English section. I am more than willing to share some of the tips and tricks that I found helpful!

As a microbiology major with a specialization in pre-med, I have learned a great deal about microbiology and taught concepts of microbiology as a learning assistant in our introductory biology course.

As a medical student, I was required to take the MCAT and scored well on the science sections: 129 C/P, 131 B, 132 P/S. I would be more than willing to share strategies that worked for me and should work for you too! I have also taken and passed both Step 1 and Step 2 and would be happy to work with medical students studying for their boards! I am also a tutor for medical students at my current school so have experience working with older students as well.

I want to help students as much as possible and bring some clarity to the tougher topics. I am easy to reach and will get back to you quickly. Feel free to contact me for additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
