I am physics graduate student at The Ohio State University. I began tutoring students at the Mathematics & Statistics Learning Center at Ohio State in 2021, gaining one year of experience tutoring college students in Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Business Calculus. In 2022, I also began tutoring at Grade Potential Tutoring based in Columbus, where I tutored Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and higher math.

With these jobs, I've gained experience tutoring Physics 1, Physics 2, AP Physics, AP Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Thermodynamics, Statics, Dynamics, Linear Algebra, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, and Pre-Algebra to college, high school, and middle school students. I joined Wyzant this June to expand my tutoring to the ACT and SAT.

I struggled with math early on due to dogmatic teachers that failed to engage students. I know what it's like to feel behind and inadequate. Additionally, I know what is needed for a student to quickly overcome their struggles, as evidenced by my academic and tutoring performance. Since each person learns uniquely, I adapt my tutoring to every student. For all students, however, I provide continuous positive feedback, questions to test their conceptual understanding, and a recap of each session to promote self-study.

I offer a free 15-minute session before the initial paid session to get to know a student, figure out where they're struggling in the subject, and prepare for a productive and time-efficient first session. Just message me beforehand and let me know you'd like an "icebreaker session".
