Psychology plays a part in every moment of our lives. Whether we are trying to figure out why our ex behaved the way they did, listening to a true crime podcast, or wondering how the neurons in our digestive system impact our moods; psychology is there to help us understand.

Psychology plays a part in every moment of our lives. Whether we are trying to figure out why our ex behaved the way they did, listening to a true crime podcast, or wondering how the neurons in our digestive system impact our moods; psychology is there to help us understand.
My name is Mindy and I am a doctoral student in psychology. I earned my mater's and bachelor's in psychology as well. I have spent most of my career working in the behavioral health field. Some of my roles have included being a psychology intern at a Developmental Center, forensic social worker, and certified personal medicine coach. I am a person in long term recovery so I have personal experience with the behavioral health system as well. I believe that for everyone, recovery can and does happen.
My strength as an educator is my ability to take a complex concept or theory and explain it in simple terms using examples from our daily life. If someone is having a difficult time understanding something, it is my responsibility to find a way to communicate the information until it makes sense. I want everyone who connects with me to feel more confident about their situation after our interaction.
Psychology has been my passion all of my life. Ever since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by how our brain, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. I love sharing my knowledge with others and helping them learn. If you have a question about a concept or theory, paper, or homework question, please reach out. I would be happy to connect!
