Effective Educational Tutor Specializing in Reading and Grammar

I am Kenisha! I graduated from Ashford University with a degree in Early childhood Education. I have a strong back ground in Reading, Math, Vocabulary, Writing, Grammar and English. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and exploring concepts at your own pace. My goal is to help each develop a strong understanding the subject they are struggling with and build confidence in their abilities. I'm looking forward to working with each and everyone of you!

I have over 15 years’ experience in teaching. I have worked as a center director and teacher for 8 years. I worked directly with students , that includes students with disabilities that required additional assistance. I would prioritize the students with their learning activities for the time frame needed, while having the additional students in a separate group working with them directly. I have volunteered for the after school program within my community for the past three years, where this would be the time student would do their homework before going home and I would assist with any questions they had. After graduating and going straight into my field. I began to realize the positive effect I want to have on teaching student’s. I have seen so many teachers just put a book in front of students and expect them to retain the information. When I began to teach I realize becoming more involved and engaged gets the attention of student and more excited to learn. I understand not every student learns the same, that is why I take the time to learn and understand each and every one of my student’s and provide additional help if needed. I take the curriculum and make learning the curriculum in a creative and fun way.
