Medical School Admissions & Interview Preparation
Through my experience serving on a medical school admissions committee, I've developed an understanding of how applicants are evaluated and the qualities that contribute to a compelling application. I help students strengthen their personal statements, secondary essays, extracurricular descriptions, and interview skills.

My services include:
AMCAS and AACOMAS application strategy
Personal statement and secondary essay editing
Traditional and MMI interview preparation
Mock interviews with personalized feedback
School list development and application planning
My approach is individualized, practical, and focused on helping each applicant communicate their experiences authentically and effectively.

Military Medicine & Scholarship Guidance
As a commissioned Second Lieutenant (2LT) in the U.S. Army Reserve, I also offer guidance to students interested in military medicine, including the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) and Medical and Dental Student Stipend Program (MDSSP). I help students understand the application process, educational pathways, and considerations associated with military medical training.

Medical Sciences & Academic Tutoring
I also tutor anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, and related medical sciences. My teaching focuses on understanding fundamental concepts, developing effective study strategies, and applying knowledge through practice questions.

Additionally, I offer Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese tutoring.

Whether you're preparing for medical school, strengthening your academic foundation, or exploring military medicine, I look forward to helping you work toward your goals.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

Having successfully completed rigorous medical school gross anatomy with cadaveric dissection, I possess an in-depth, clinical mastery of human anatomy. I tutor pre-health, nursing, and college students by breaking down complex anatomical structures into high-yield, digestible concepts. Instead of relying purely on flashcards, I teach students spatial relationships and clinical correlations, which drastically improves long-term retention and exam performance.
Biology

Biology

As a fourth-year medical student, I have an advanced understanding of biological sciences that extends far beyond the undergraduate level. I specialize in tutoring college-level and pre-medical biology, helping students master complex cellular, molecular, and systemic concepts. My tutoring approach bridges the gap between rote memorization and clinical application, ensuring students not only pass their exams but build the necessary framework for future success in medical school.
Chemistry

Chemistry

As a fourth-year medical student, I have an extensive academic foundation in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry through my undergraduate and medical education. My training has strengthened my understanding of chemical principles and their real-world applications, including molecular interactions, acid-base chemistry, thermodynamics, and biochemical processes. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into understandable steps, strengthening foundational knowledge, and developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My goal is to help students build confidence, master chemistry concepts, and approach unfamiliar exam questions independently.
Chinese

Chinese

I am a fluent native Chinese speaker with extensive experience utilizing Mandarin in both conversational and professional settings, including translating complex business and financial documents. I tailor my tutoring to each student's specific goals, whether they are mastering basic conversational fluency, improving pronunciation, or learning advanced professional vocabulary. My approach is patient and immersive, focusing on practical usage, cultural context, and real-world conversational confidence.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

As a fourth-year medical student, I have a strong foundation in mathematics, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving developed through years of rigorous academic training. I am comfortable teaching elementary mathematics, including arithmetic, fractions, multiplication, division, geometry, and word problems. My approach emphasizes patience, clear explanations, visual learning techniques, and interactive exercises tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on building confidence, strengthening fundamental skills, and gradually introducing more advanced concepts to help students develop a lasting understanding and appreciation of mathematics.
Physiology

Physiology

As an MD candidate transitioning into residency, human physiology is the core foundation of my daily clinical practice. I specialize in helping college and pre-medical students understand the intricate mechanisms of human organ systems, from cardiovascular hemodynamics to neurophysiology. My teaching method focuses on underlying physiological pathways rather than brute-force memorization, allowing students to confidently tackle complex, higher-order exam questions.
