As a teacher currently, we are required to teach Common Core standards. Our district keeps us updated and trained for the state and national standards.

I have a master's degree and specialized in Reading. I have my reading validation K-12. I also have elementary certification K-8. I have years of experience teaching reading or math in title one programs.

I have taught elementary math as a certified elementary K-8 teacher. My experiences span from Kindergarten to fifth grade. I have also worked as a Title One Math teacher for second and third grade. I also taught 6-8 Title One Math in the Unified Arts rotation. I have also tutored in Math.

I was trained as an elementary teacher to teach handwriting. Some reading series include the teaching of handwriting in the early grades. At one time, teaching cursive was part of the curriculum.
