I’m a postdoctoral level researcher with a PhD in Education, three masters degrees (Special Education—Intensive Interventions; Spanish Education; Curriculum and Education Technology), four graduate certificates, and over twenty years of teaching experience at all levels. If you can name it, I’ve probably done it...

I started my career as a Career Coach, assisting folks with resume writing, interviewing, and job searching. Then, I served as teacher and a counselor for at a public high school in the South Bronx where I taught nearly every subject and worked as a College and Career Counselor for nine years. At the college and graduate school levels, I’ve taught and tutored research methods, philosophy, education, many other subject areas for over a decade. I’ve coached students through all stages of the research and writing process—I can even help you prepare for your dreaded dissertation defense and final submission.

As an educator, I consider disability to be a natural part of the human experience and I value the strengths neurodivergent individuals have to offer the world. As a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and complex care coordinator, I’ve worked at a camp for children with autism, developed inclusive programs for individuals with Down syndrome, and created aging-in-place plans for seniors with dementia. My background in special education allows me to tailor my approach to meet your needs, teach you strategies, share assistive technology tools to help you meet your learning goals.

So if you’re in need of some last minute assistance or interested in working with a professional educator who can coach and mentor you (or your loved one) over the long haul, I look forward to working with you.

Smart, Responsive, and Incredibly Helpful

My daughter was incredibly stressed about the college application process. After one session with Keri, my daughter felt completely at ease. Keri connected with her immediately and went above and beyond our expectations. She's funny, relatable, and knows how to work with kids in a way that makes them feel seen and heard.

Exceptional Tutor! Couldn't be more pleased!

It can be a little stressful trying to find that right tutor that understands your child's personality and tutoring needs. However, that was definitely not the case with Keri. She took the time to get to know my daughter and her strengths and weaknesses in Global History. I was surprised and very excited to finally find someone who didn't jump right in and start teaching, but rather create a game plan as to how my daughter could rethink the way in which she analyzes and answers each problem. I have to say, we are very excited to have found Keri and my daughter is excited to use her methods when retaking the Regents exam.

Very knowledgeable tutor!

Keri was an awesome tutor! She helped me so much during our lesson. She provided me with a ton of resources that are going to help me pass the praxis. Meeting with Keri made me feel confident that I will be able pass the praxis. I had been studying material that was way too advance and thanks to her we were able to figure out what is actually going to help me. I highly recommend her if you need a tutor!!

Extremely positive first experience!

Yesterday I met with my tutor, Keri for the first time. She was friendly, punctual and ready to help me make the most out of my first Spanish tutoring session. Keri was able to quickly evaluate my current level and we then discussed my main goal - which is to be able to converse comfortably in Spanish. She made me feel at ease from the minute I met her. I was so pleased with the fact that we spent the majority of the session actually conversing in Spanish! Having confidence in myself when speaking has been my greatest obstacle. Keri identified different ways to tackle this obstacle and offered some challenging homework to assist me in realizing my goal. She also gave me information about Spanish resources that I was not aware actually existed. I left the tutoring session feeling more confident and truly excited for our next session!

A great Spanish teacher!

I had two lessons with her, and we had our lessons in a Mexican restaurant. She is trying to use the language environment to force me to learn Spanish. I really learn a lot from each lesson.
