I hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Rhetorical Writing, as well as a Juris Doctor degree. This academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, environmental science, mathematics, critical thinking, and writing. My studies required extensive analytical problem-solving, scientific reasoning, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. In particular, my legal education further strengthened my skills in logic, reading comprehension, and persuasive writing, all of which I bring to my tutoring approach.
I have more than four years of one-on-one tutoring and mentoring experience. During my undergraduate studies, I worked for two years as a college tutor in biology and algebra, helping students understand challenging concepts and improve their performance in these subjects. In law school, I continued this passion by mentoring first-year law students throughout my second and third years. I provided guidance in a variety of legal subjects, including case analysis, legal writing, and exam preparation. These experiences taught me how to adapt my teaching style to each student's individual learning needs and to explain difficult material in a clear, structured way.
My tutoring philosophy focuses on building both understanding and confidence. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into manageable steps and helping students develop the critical thinking skills they need to succeed independently. Because all of my tutoring has been conducted in a one-on-one setting, I am able to tailor each lesson to the student's pace, strengths, and goals. I find it incredibly rewarding to help students overcome academic challenges and gain confidence in their abilities, whether they are studying science, mathematics, writing, or law-related subjects.
