I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, where I built a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, programming, and circuit design. During my time at OSU, I was selected as a Teaching Assistant for the PREFACE Summer Bridge Program, where I worked directly with incoming engineering students to strengthen their understanding of core math and science concepts before starting college. I also served as a mentor in the Exploratory Program, guiding students as they navigated academic challenges and chose their paths in STEM. These experiences gave me hands-on teaching practice with students at different levels and helped me develop a clear, structured approach to explaining complex topics.

My academic experience includes work in embedded systems, programming, and electrical circuits, as well as participation in programs like EcoCAR, where I applied engineering concepts to real-world vehicle systems. Because of this background, I am comfortable tutoring a wide range of subjects, from elementary and middle school math to high school algebra, physics, and introductory programming, all the way up to college-level courses such as calculus and differential equations. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind what they are learning, not just memorizing steps, so they can apply concepts confidently in new situations.

My teaching style is patient, practical, and tailored to each student. I break problems down into simple steps, relate concepts to real-world examples, and build confidence through repetition and guided problem-solving. I have worked with students in one-on-one and small group settings, and I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately developing the skills to succeed independently.

Electrical Engineering

I work as a Station Engineer for a major utility, where I lead substation projects and make engineering decisions involving system design, equipment selection, and operational constraints. My role requires applying circuit analysis, power calculations, and principles of calculus and physics to determine ampacity, evaluate series elements, and ensure system reliability. I routinely balance technical factors such as cost, redundancy, maintenance, and customer outage risk when designing solutions. This real-world engineering experience allows me to teach electrical engineering concepts with both theoretical depth and practical application.
