I was proud to see my student's grades improve throughout my time tutoring, but I was even more proud to see their academic motivation increase.
As a tutor, my approach is to use a mix of the Socratic method and active learning through practice questions and creating flashcards and study tools. In addition, before and after completing a practice problem, I will explore the mechanisms and reasonings behind each problem so that the student will be able to develop a deeper understanding of the material. Throughout this process, I will encourage questions in order to clear up misconceptions early. I am very quick to respond and will always be very accessible and easy to reach.
