Hello! My name is Samantha and I’m excited to help Middle and High school students build confidence and skills in math and science. I graduated with cum laude from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at The Ohio State University. My education has given me a strong foundation in both the life sciences and the mathematics that support them, and I use these skills daily in my research. I tutor Middle and High school Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Algebra, as well as Biology and Chemistry. My academic background and real-world experience allow me to explain topics in ways that are both clear and relevant to students’ goals.
When I work with students, my focus is on more than just getting the correct answer, I aim to help them truly understand the “why” behind the problem. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, connect ideas across topics, and encourage active participation to deepen understanding. Whether we’re preparing for a test, reviewing class material, or getting ahead, I tailor my teaching style to each student’s needs and learning pace. My goal is to inspire the next generation of STEM students, showing them that math and science can be both accessible and exciting.
