I am a classically trained guitarist with over two decades of experience playing and teaching guitar and piano. My musical journey began at age five, and I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in music performance, along with graduate studies focused on guitar pedagogy, music theory, and interpretation. Over the years, I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners learning their first notes to advanced players preparing for performances and auditions.
As a music instructor and prevention specialist, I’ve developed a teaching approach that blends structured technique building with creative expression. For guitar, I focus on proper posture, right-hand and left-hand coordination, tone production, sight-reading, and musicality. Lessons often incorporate standard classical repertoire—from Sor and Carcassi to Villa-Lobos and Brouwer—alongside technical exercises and tailored practice plans. I emphasize making each lesson engaging, clear, and encouraging, so students feel both challenged and supported.
My teaching experience includes one-on-one lessons, small group instruction, and leading music programs in community-based youth organizations. I adapt my methods to suit each learner’s goals and pace, whether they are studying purely for enjoyment or aiming for formal study and performance. By combining classical fundamentals with patient, personalized guidance, I help students grow their skills, confidence, and love for music.
