I am a 4th Year medical student at Ohio State graduating in May. I graduated college with a neuroscience degree with honors and I am especially interested in tutoring low performing students who need help as I was once a low performing student myself. I have a lot of experience tutoring through high school and college. I am a 4th Year medical student at Ohio State graduating in May. I graduated college with a neuroscience degree with honors and I am especially interested in tutoring low performing students who need help as I was once a low performing student myself. I have a lot of experience tutoring through high school and college. I have tutored students from grade 9-12 (age 15-18) and college students (18+) mainly in one-on-one setting but also in group settings. My teaching philosophy is to help students identify and attack their area of need. There is obviously a limit to what can be done in an hour session so I teach a some high yield information but then give pointers on how to study, retain information, and how to do well in the class. I do this because that is how I went from an average student to graduating with honors and attending a top medical school.
I am looking to tutor college students in their biology, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology classes. Also willing to tutor AP biology students. I am also looking to Tutor MCAT CARS specifically as I scored a 515 (90th percentile) on the exam and the CARS section is a strong suit of mine. I struggled with the MCAT at first and actually scored below a 500 the first time I took the exam. I plan on mainly tutoring the CARS section but also offering students pointers in how to tackle the other sections.
