They include national brands like PepsiCo., Whole Foods Market, NFL and the K–12 curriculum designer Amplify, to name a few. These companies relied on me to use the Adobe Creative Suite to create visuals for products reaching millions of customers.
While I’m new to tutoring, I’ve happily helped educate many peers during my career. At Whole Foods Market, I was tasked with training newly-hired graphic artists in the various tools and procedures the job entailed. I conducted one-on-one trainings and sat on expert panels at regional meetings—with an audience usually consisting of about 65 fellow graphic artists. At both Whole Foods Market and Amplify, I wrote design and illustration procedures for fellow graphic artists.
During our tutoring sessions, students can expect to build self-reliance in a goal-oriented, positive and low-stress setting. We’ll assess their needs and set expectations for the session. I’ll ask students to choose something to work on that’s useful and meaningful for them. We’ll jump right into a a screen-share to discover tools and techniques. By practicing efficient work habits from the start, students will develop an intuitive grasp of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop that will pay off well into the future.
