I have successfully tutored hundreds of students from top universities including Harvard, Duke, Columbia, USC, and Vanderbilt. My experience is both practical and academic. I am a professional statistician with a PhD in Biostatistics from The Ohio State University and a research focus on causal inference. While at Ohio State, I taught a range of statistics courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. I have worked with students in all subject areas including data science, public health, medicine, economics, business, and finance. I offer help across the full statistics curriculum. Common topics I tutor include:
• Probability Foundations: Combinatorics, Conditional Probability, Bayes' Theorem, and Independence.
• Descriptive Statistics: Mean, Median, Variance, Standard Deviation, Histograms, and Box Plots.
• Random Variables & Distributions: Discrete and Continuous RVs, Expected Value, Moments (MGFs), and key distributions like the Binomial, Poisson, Normal, Exponential, and F-distribution.
• Inferential Statistics: Sampling Distributions (CLT), Point Estimation, Confidence Intervals, and Hypothesis Testing (z-tests, t-tests, p-values).
• Statistical Modeling: Linear Regression, Correlation, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
• Survival Analysis: Kaplan-Meier curves, log-rank tests, and Cox proportional hazards models.
• Causal Inference: My dissertation focus. Includes propensity score methods such as stratification, matching, and weighting.
• Statistical Programming in R: Supporting full data science workflows, including data manipulation (dplyr), visualization (ggplot2), and implementing statistical models.
