Hello! My name is Saige and I am an ELA and LSAT tutor. I recently graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in English Education and Women’s Studies, and earned a 3.95 GPA throughout college. I have experience teaching English at a middle and high school level.

My approach is strength-based tutoring- I learn your strengths and interests, and use those to help you develop skills in other areas. I work for that “aha” moment- the moment where everything clicks and you are genuinely learning. I look at and give feedback on previous work, so I get a sense of your style and abilities. Part of my price includes feedback throughout the week- if you need feedback on an essay, for example, you can share it with me throughout the week and I will give comments/suggestions within 24 hours.

I have taught students from grades 1-12, in 3 different states throughout my life. I primarily have taught ELA at the high school level. I have usually worked with whole classrooms at a time (around 30 students), or with small groups to focus on skill building.

I recently took the LSAT and scored a 170 on it. As an English major, my reading comprehension skills are strong, and I am able to help break down question types and strategies on the LR section with you.

I welcome students of any age, and any skill level, and am willing to go the extra mile to ensure you feel confident in your skills by the time we’re finished.

Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I was in speech, debate, and student congress from 8-12th grade, which meant public speaking to upwards of 50 people at a time. I also took two public speaking courses- one in high school and one in college. Finally, I am a middle school teacher, so I present information and speak to 30 students, multiple times a day, which means I have the confidence and skills to help you with your public speaking.

Flexible, knowledgeable, and patient

Saige was a great tutor! She has an extremely flexible schedule and is always responsive to follow up questions after your session, has great resources, and uses real prep-test questions to practice so that you are familiar with the layout of the LSAT from the beginning. Extremely patient as well and always willing to provide additional explanations or resources if something is not clicking right away. I felt that I connected very well with her since she has taken her LSAT in the not-too-distant past and is in the beginning of her legal career; this helped me to not feel intimidated and also know that she is very up-to-date with current LSAT and law school trends. 5 stars-- can't recommend enough!!

Amazing LSAT Tutor

Saige helped me prepare to take the LSAT for the first time ever. Saige is an incredible tutor and her lessons were truly invaluable in my preparation. We were able to review a broad range of information within my given timeframe. Saige has prepared materials for self study as well as tailoring tutoring sessions to improve greatly each session. Saige is extremely well versed in the LSAT as well as the law school application process. She is supportive, encouraging, and non judgmental when you are confused and seeking explanations. She is able to explain complex questions in a simple and understandable way. After working with Saige I felt so comfortable, confident, and calm going into the LSAT. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
