Hi There! My name is Jan and graduated Cum Laude with my B.S. in Bioengineering from The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and with my M.S. in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University. I have been a tutor for over 5 years in subjects that include, but are not limited to, Chemistry, Physiology, and Biology. Learning new information can be daunting to some, and I loved being able to pass on the same reassurance that I received when learning these subjects. Teaching is a very fulfilling task. I truly believe that each person has the potential to excel in anything, but it is just a matter of pulling that potential and confidence to the surface.
I have tutored science subjects since I was an undergraduate student. I recently completed my Masters in Medical Physiology at Case Western Reserve University and gained an even deeper understanding of biological systems and how biophysics and chemistry play huge role.
English and Literature have always been two of my favorite subjects. I took both AP English Language and AP Literature as a high school student and was able to qualify these courses as college credits based on my success. I continued to take English classes in college where I aided professors in checking for correct grammar and vocabulary. Post-college, I stay up to date on new developments in the literary world and read a diverse array of book genres.
